Currently, 67 Starlink devices registered by men are known
In Kyiv, two local residents were exposed and detained for activating Starlink satellite terminals for Russian occupants for money. For each verified device, which was subsequently used by the Russian forces at the front, the traitors received $100. This is reported by “Glavcom” with reference to the press service of the department
The investigation established that the suspects communicated with representatives of the Russian special services via the Telegram messenger. The latter operated under the guise of call centers controlled by the FSB.
According to the case materials, the defendants agreed to register and verify Starlink satellite communication terminals that were blocked for use by Russian military personnel.
“They received $100 for each registered device. To do this, the men repeatedly visited the post operator’s branches in Kyiv, where they processed and confirmed the registration of dozens of Starlink kits using the details received from representatives of the aggressor state. After verification, the equipment was added to the so-called “white list” and could be used by Russian military units,” the report states.
According to law enforcement officers, some of these terminals subsequently operated in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. They were used by the Russian military to ensure communication, coordinate combat operations, and manage units. Currently, 67 devices registered by the men are known.

“At the same time, the suspects were warned in advance that participation in the verification of Starlink for the needs of the occupation forces is a crime: they received a corresponding SMS message with a warning from the SBU before carrying out these actions. Despite this, they consciously continued to cooperate with representatives of the aggressor state,” the report says.
The defendants were detained while carrying out another Russian assignment. At the request of the prosecution, a pre-trial measure of detention without the right to bail was chosen for the suspects. The maximum sanction of Article 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine provides for life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Earlier, cyber specialists from the Security Service of Ukraine blocked another attempt by the enemy to gain access to Starlink terminals in Ukraine. As a result of comprehensive measures in Kyiv, an agent of the Russian Federation was detained who was illegally registering communication terminals for Russian occupants. The investigation found that the task of the Russian Federation was being carried out by a mobilized soldier recruited by the enemy, who had unilaterally left his military unit in the Kharkiv region. After fleeing the unit, the deserter hid in rented apartments in the capital and simultaneously looked for “quick earnings” on specialized Telegram channels.
Also, in Kropyvnytskyi, special forces detained a woman who, on behalf of Russian special services, was trying to register Starlink terminals for further use by the occupants. The unemployed local woman cooperated with the enemy to provide the rashists with access to satellite internet communication. Initially, the defendant registered one Starlink in her own name and planned to transfer its details to Russia.
