The government will allocate over UAH 3 billion from the state budget’s reserve fund to address the aftermath of the Russian Federation’s attack in Vyshneve, Kyiv region, on July 6. Massive explosions occurred in the city following the Russian strike.

The funds will be directed towards the reconstruction of housing, engineering infrastructure, and the disbursement of compensation to individuals whose property was damaged due to the shelling.

According to the Ministry, the Russian strike damaged 280 residential buildings in Vyshneve, comprising 253 private homes and 27 apartment buildings.

As Vyshneve residents recounted to Suspilne, they took shelter in basements during the explosions, fled their homes with their pets, and were uncertain for hours whether it was safe to return.

Following a Russian strike on the night of July 6, major explosions erupted in Vyshneve. According to the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration, nine people lost their lives. A spokesperson for the State Emergency Service of Kyiv region stated that rescuers were working to mitigate the consequences at 35 locations.

Andriy Lykhoviy, the spokesperson for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, commented to Interfax-Ukraine that the facility where the explosions took place is not under the management or subordination of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
